Project Summary: Fargro
We are delighted to have provided debt advisory support to the management of Fargro with their refinancing to Cynergy Business Finance.
Founded in 1946, Fargro is the leading UK distributor in horticultural products and solutions. The company positions itself as a trusted partner for growers, combining decades of experience with modern innovation and sustainability
The transaction involved the refinance of working capital and term loan facilities alongside loan notes and equity from Ashridge Capital. Critical success factors to the transaction included preparation of a well thought through business plan and financial model, working closely with Emma Birkbeck, the Managing Director and Rob Bartley the new Finance Director. Particular focus centred on debt structure and covenants that supported the growth plans of the business. Delivering the numbers during the distraction of a refinance was also key and it was a pleasure to work with David Sherratt from Ashridge and the wider Fargro team. Paul Fraser at Cynergy was also very commercial and efficient facilitating a smooth transfer to the new funder.
